Felix Engelhardt, CFA joined Saxenhammer & Co. this month as a Managing Director M&A. Engelhardt's will be in charge of setting up the new digital unit and advising medium-sized companies on buy-side and sell-side mandates.

Felix Engelhardt is the Founder and CEO of ZUMERA – one of Europe’s leading independent M&A advisory firms.

Originating from a management buyout, ZUMERA pursues a clear mission: to support entrepreneurial owners, family businesses, and investors in succession planning, buy-and-build strategies, and strategic transactions – with a focus on international access, strong execution, and long-term value creation.

Felix brings more than 15 years of experience in the transaction space, including investment banking roles at UBS, Deutsche Bank, and Commerzbank (Frankfurt & London), leading the international growth at Saxenhammer, and building a dedicated mid-market M&A boutique. In parallel, he founded a digital agency, which he successfully exited.

A CFA Charterholder and graduate of the Frankfurt School of Finance (M.Sc.), Felix has also taught at renowned universities such as Maastricht, Mannheim, and Frankfurt School.

Raised in Berlin as the son of a tax advisor and a judge, Felix spent formative years in London, Madrid and Frankfurt. His entrepreneurial mindset combines financial expertise with team spirit and strategic intuition – qualities shaped by his background in competitive field hockey.

Today, Felix lives in Berlin-Dahlem with his teenage daughter. With more than 26,000 followers, numerous keynotes at industry events, and deep insight into entrepreneurial realities, he is considered one of the most respected voices in the German-speaking M&A landscape.
